Katy Bear

11 and a half years ago, Katy, this sweet, gentle soul came into our lives. Frightened, shy, but always curious. She had been raised in a 3x3 cage as she was a Puppy Mill rescue. She was broken but she fought long and hard to overcome her past. The first thing we could get her to eat was hot dogs... In these last days, that is again what she got...her beloved hot dogs! She went from a dog that hid in a closet, to greeting people at the door when they came over. She went from not allowing anyone to touch her, to soft butterfly nudges and hugging and holding.

Molly

Beautiful Molly joins an experienced Sheltie family who know the ways of a Sheltie princess! They will help Molly achieve and maintain her goal weight to alleviate the stress on her remaining three legs. Molly looks forward to romping in the secure fenced backyard with her new MNSR Sheltie sister Ellie, and lots of tummy rubs and cuddle time with mom! Adopted 4/13/19.

Willow

Willow's forever family gave her the time and space she needed to learn to trust and feel safe. They were rewarded when, shortly after the adoption was finalized, Willow jumped on the bed to seek affection from her dad! Willow joins an animal-loving family very experienced with shy and fearful Shelties. She will continue to grow and blossom, together with her MNSR Sheltie siblings Bailey and Ian. Adopted 4/4/19.

Kody

Our volunteers saw in Kody how special he was, and we were overjoyed when his forever family knew it, too. Such a content and clever boy, he seemed to know exactly what his family was saying when they talked to him.  Kody enjoyed barking at the wildlife outside at his home, making snow angels, and going for walks alongside his MNSR sister, Harper. Kody loved playing ball, placing it at mom or dad's feet or pushing it up on the edge of the chair as a not-so-subtle hint that the ball needed to be thrown. And he faithfully brought it back to repeat the adventure a zillion times.
