Gordy

After more than 2 months on the run, Gordy was safely recovered by Tracy Area Animal Rescue and The Retrievers, and his family decided it was best for Gordy to come to Minnesota Sheltie Rescue to find a forever home. After being lovely cared for in his foster home, Gordy found his best and last home with a kind lady who had helped us search for a Sheltie in 2006 whom she later adopted. Gordy has a feline sister named Lucy who is still evaluating the newcomer, but we are confident they will become best friends.

Lassie

Dear little Lassie has gained her angel wings on August 11th, 2020 at age 15. Lassie appreciated very much to be the one and only in mom's life. She loved having mom's attention, going for short walks together, and being near mom whenever possible. We are grateful for the love and happiness that Lassie received.

Zorro

I am so sad to share that we had to say goodbye to our sweet boy Zorro last week. Zorro came to us 13 years ago as a referral from MN Sheltie Rescue to (then) Iowa sheltie rescue. Zorro’s passing is truly devastating to us - and his sheltie sister KC continues to look around the house for him. We were so blessed to have Zorro in our lives for so long and have many happy memories to think back on - from fun at agility to long walks around the lake and wrestling with his sister. Thank you to the sheltie rescue organizations for helping bring such happiness to our home.

Wilson

When 25 Shelties in Washington needed assistance, Minnesota Sheltie rescue took in 7 of them. After a time in separate foster homes, Tucker & Wilson found their way back to each other with a mom who couldn’t part with either of them. Wilson loves cuddles with mom and is a great walker, tail up and wagging the whole way! Adopted 8/6/20.
