Rainbow Bridge Memories

This page is dedicated in loving memory to the MNSR foster and adopted Shelties who are waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge Stories

Merit came into rescue from a puppy mill where she spent the first 2 1/2 years in a confined area. Her foster mom helped her to learn how to live in a home and what it meant to be part of a loving family. Soon, it was clear that Merit's foster mom could not part with her and they became a forever family. Merit helped many new foster Shelties over the years. They gravitated towards her due to her easygoing personality. After a very loving life with her forever mom, Merit gained her angel wings on January 9th, 2020, reuniting at the Rainbow Bridge with her siblings Shep, Fletcher, Alex and Kayce.

After nursing Mick back to health after leg surgery, his foster family realized Mick had found his best and last home with them and made it permanent. He loves his walks, loved greeting people, and he charmed everyone with his happy smile. Mick crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 7th, 2020. Mick had a long, happy life with us, and I'll always be grateful to MNSR for the opportunity to share that as part of our family.

Josey found the perfect home with a mom who cherished her. Josey greeted her mom with excited wiggles when she came home every day, and they cuddled on the couch to watch television. Josey crossed the Rainbow Bridge on December 31st, 2019.

Oliver joined his forever family soon after they had adopted a Sheltie girl named Suzy, and Oliver and Suzy quickly became the best of friends. Oliver remained a joyful puppy – even as he grew older.  He was always ready to play and was so very clever.  His family described him as the best behaved Sheltie they had ever had. Oliver crossed the Rainbow Bridge in December 2019, rejoining his beloved Suzy.
