Maisie spent much of her early life outside, and while she still enjoyed lying on the deck in the sunshine and watching the world go by, she mostly wanted to be wherever her mom was. Maisie was so smart that she learned from her mom how to be quiet on cue! They found each other at the perfect time and became best pals. She was a nice little girl who was happy to have a home where she spent most of her time indoors and got lots of snack carrots. Maisie crossed the Rainbow Bridge in October, 2019. All of my dogs live in my heart forever. I miss that little girl and would gladly foster or adopt another senior. |
Smokey was so happy to join a loving family and soon found a best friend in Sheltie brother Bandit. Smokey very much enjoyed his daily games of fetch with his humans, hopping with excitement on all fours like a bunny, and played in the sprinkle on warm summer days. Smokey and Bandit loved to soak up the sun and were always together. As Smokey began to lose his hearing, Bandit would let him know when it was time to bark or to rally to greet visitors. Smokey crossed the Rainbow Bridge in September 2019. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to have Smokey join our family. He brought us so much joy, and our world is not the same without him. |
Belle was part of a large group of Shelties in need who came to MNSR. Her charm and exquisite beauty quickly landed her a wonderful forever home with a Sheltie-experienced family and Sheltie siblings. Belle's favorite things were her mom, walks, stuffed animals and being at the lake. She loved to kayak with mom, falling asleep from the slight rocking of the boat. Belle crossed the Rainbow Bridge on September 20th, rejoining her Sheltie brother Tucker at the Rainbow Bridge. |
Jack joined his forever family during his rehabilitation from knee surgery. Through walks and exercises, they helped him regain his strength, and he was soon joined by another active youngster named Zorro. They had great fun going for walks and playing with toys together, and doing tricks for Charlie Bears, the bedtime ritual. Jack was always ready to herd anything that went by his fence, and nothing went by unannounced. Jack gained his angel wings on September 18th, 2019 and is dearly missed by his loving family and his brother. |
