Deon joined our family in 2006 and was a loyal companion in our everyday life, our little shadow. He enjoyed a good bark and chase in the yard as neighborhood cars and people went by. Deon joined us most places we traveled and enjoyed summertime pontoon rides at the lake. Deon passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2018, lying outside soaking up the spring sun, where he loved to be. We were lucky to have him as a part of our family for the last 11 years.
Duffy came to MNSR in our early days with an injury to his leg. He found a wonderful forever home in which to recover from surgery, and over the years he mentored many MNSR foster Shelties, including Andy and Kit, who became permanent siblings. Duffy was a natural actor and performed in several plays with his mom, including two Shakespeare productions. His charming presence and intelligence are missed terribly.
Murray came to MNSR from a shelter and was so happy to join a couple who could shower him with love and attention. He loved going for walks around the lakes with them, playing fetch with the tennis ball, snuggling with his pillows, and rolling in the snow. Murray passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his family.
