Success Stories

These beautiful dogs have joined loving families.

Oreo's adopters weren't so sure about adopting an older dog after having to say good-bye to MNSR Lizzie, but when his new mom saw his picture and read his bio, she felt she had to meet this little guy. Once they met him, they were sold! They are committed to giving him a wonderful, loving last home. He has a beautiful yard to follow his mom and dad around in. He loves walks and will get to go on many. Oreo is a senior boy with a young heart and ready to charm everyone he meets. Oreo is so lucky to have found such a special couple. Adopted 5/4/18.

Pearl is making herself right at home by claiming her space on the sofa and sleeping by mom her first night home. Prince, the resident Sheltie, is warming up to her, gradually getting more comfortable with another female in the house. Pearl follows mom around the house and loves looking out the front window watching the world go by. Adopted 3/19/18

Rocky was an outdoor dog before he came to MNSR. Now he's found all the comforts of indoor life in his new home, watching all the goings-on in the neighborhood from his perch on the back of the sofa. He's happy to be an 'only' too, as he doesn't really like to compete with other dogs for attention. Rocky and his adoptive dad will be taking lots of walks along the same trails that his predecessor, MNSR Shadow (Rainbow Bridge) used to take. Adopted 3/11/18.

Emma was very fearful of humans when she came to MNSR from a southern breeder. Emma's foster mom helped her come around, slowly at first but in leaps and bounds in the last few months as Emma discovered how much fun a dog could have, and how much love a human could give her, and how good it all can be!

Emma has now moved to her forever home with a couple who will give her lots of love and attention and continue to help her blossom. She also has two older Sheltie brothers who will help her continue to gain confidence. She's already joining the family to watch TV in the living room and she's pretty excited to go out with the 'boys' in their big safe back yard.

It wook Emma a full year to be ready to find her home but it was well worth the wait! Emma came in to rescue on January 28, 2017 - and was adopted January 27, 2018!
