Rainbow Bridge Memories

This page is dedicated in loving memory to the MNSR alumni who found their forever families and are now waiting for us at the Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge Stories

We will miss you (even your barking!) every day til we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. The best Sheltie boy one could hope for. From unclaimed stray in western MN to Minnesota Sheltie Rescue, then to MACH2, PACH2 and 2016 National Agility Championship Preferred 8" Finalist. Always happy, always loyal, just an awesome dog in every way.

Zapper is now providing oversight from the Bridge to MNSR alum Stevee on how to do agility fast and in style, but perhaps without the barking! If Stevee starts barking on an agility course, we'll know that Zapper has fully taken over! April 2005 - December 17th, 2017.

Lassie came into rescue with her best friend Laddie, and we were so happy for them when they found a forever home where they could stay together. They loved spending time with their family, going for walks and car rides. Visitor were also lavished with affection. The yard was well-guarded and passers-by were greeted with an enthusiasic round of barking. Adopting them was one of the best decisions we made. Lassie crossed the Rainbow Bridge in December 2017 and is now forever united with her best friend Laddie who preceded her there in June.

Shadow came to me on May 15, 2011 almost 10 pounds overweight.  Every day Shadow and I would go for walks at least 3 times a day, sometimes more.  Whenever I grabbed his leash he would jump and jump and jump with excitement!  On every walk he absolutely had to take a ball or a toy with him.  At some point during the walk, he would get tired of holding it in his mouth and drop it on the ground and then dad would carry it the rest of the way.  After he got down to his ideal weight, I thought we could tone down the number of walks but Shadow insisted on them!  He was the most loyal, loving companion I could ever ask for and he will be SO deeply missed.  Shadow crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge on November 18, 2017.

Sig

Sig's foster mom fell in love with him and welcomed him to become a part of the family permanently. He loved going for walks, and hanging out with his sister, Rosa. Sig's mom always got a wonderful welcome home greeting as he ran in circles while barking. Sig gained his angel wings on November 10th, 2017 and is missed so much by his loving family.
