Zorro

We said goodbye to Zorro at almost 18. He was a cancer warrior, ACL repair guy and daily Hock brace wearer, and deaf and mostly blind in his last couple years. Even though he came with a scarred back leg, he was soooo fast we always gave the squirrels a heads up before he was let out in his fenced back yard.

As a mix we believe he must have been part Terrier as a couple times a year I had to repair the hosta garden, as he would have much of it dug up, most likely digging for voles. He was also known as our mouser as he shared a couple of those with us as well.

He loved his walks and we always figured he'd love to pull a sled. He was our special boy from the start and a good brother to Jack (Rainbow Bridge 2019). Per the herding breeds, he was a great help around the house and in the yard.

He had a big smile for a little Guy. He became affectionately known as "Z" by us and the neighbors. He had a unique whistle whine which was well known at the vet clinic. They always knew when Zorro was in the house.

As his mobility, eyesight and hearing declined, we took him for walks in a pet stroller. He loved the smells of the outdoors. He is now enjoying his time with his brother Jack and all the other MNSR rescues at the rainbow bridge.
