Our MNSR Ambassadors Stacy and Kent had a great time talking to the attendees about the Sheltie breed at the ECCHA Better In Show event in Eau Claire, Wisconsin this weekend.

Bear with us...reports of lost Shelties increase over the holidays, and we feel it is important to periodically send a reminder. Even if you do not travel over the holidays, visiting guests can mean doors opening more frequently, and caution must be exercised with Shelties and open doors.
We also occasionally hear of an MNSR Sheltie being off-leash in an unfenced area, whether at home or elsewhere. Please do not take any unneccesary chances with your rescue Sheltie (or any Sheltie!). It just takes one time for a tragedy to occur that can never be undone.
The Minnesota Sheltie Rescue has a wonderful group of supporters! The Give to the Max day returned amazing results. We owe a big thank you to each and every one of you that donated. We received $5,520 in donations on "Give to the Max" day. You all exceeded our expectations by far! These funds will be put to very good use for the care of Shelties in need.
On Tuesday, November 17th, every donation made during "Give to the Max Day" will receive a portion of the $500,000 matching funds. Even $5 goes farther today! Any amount you're able to contribute makes a big difference in the lives of the Shelties in our care.
Welcome to our first official "Happy Tails" Update! From time to time, we'll be sharing some of the funny, heart-warming, and inspirational updates we receive from our wonderful adopters.
Here's an update from Bram's family (Adopted in August, 2009):
