Jake

Jake was released to a shelter by his breeder at 7 years of age. He found a wonderful forever home with a loving couple, feline siblings, and a Pomeranian brother, and was later joined by a Papillon buddy, too. Jake’s special chosen sleeping spot was in his mom & dad’s bookcase headboard. Every morning he would alert them when the kitties came in the room – time for breakfast! Jake enjoyed walks along the river, and greeting the elementary school children who stopped to say hi. Jake crossed the Rainbow Bridge on November 13th, 2019. He was such a sweet  boy.

Bella's story

I came to MNSR with no vet care. I had a very high Lyme positive count, and I was uncomfortable due to obesity. Your donation provided me with the care I needed so I could join the most amazing family who loves me SO much! Will you help more Shelties to have that chance? Now I'm so slim I can almost fly! My family says I have the highest hops they’ve ever seen – I jump as high as the counter!

Bella's vet care costs: $653.21 for treatment of Lyme disease, spay, dental, vaccinations, exams, blood work, microchip.

11 year old Tess's story

My life is forever changed because of your support of MN Sheltie Rescue. My past life was truly horrible. I lived outside amidst trash and my animal friends who had passed away. I had mammary tumors, UTI, skin infections, periodontal disease, and I'm missing an eye from an untreated injury - all due to severe neglect. YOU were my angel in my time of need! Can you help MNSR save another life on November 14th? Today, I am doing pawsome! My foster family adores me. Now that I have hair again, I love to have my fur brushed (I was so matted I had to be shaved) and I roll over for belly rubs.
