Somewhere during the long night of watching over her for the last time, Candy, ever the alpha pup, chose her own time to slip over the rainbow bridge on November 18th, 2020. I don't know when, exactly, as she chose to go while I was taking a catnap. I miss her so much - she was my ‘steady eddie’ Sheltie, always by my side. Laddie and I still look for her and probably will for some time. She's been a constant and wonderful companion to me for 13 years and during this Covid 19 pandemic. It's hard to say goodbye to a friend like that, but I know she's running free now and in no pain, so I take comfort in that.
