Daphne
Daphne came into our lives almost 9 years ago shortly after we lost Fiona, our first rescue Sheltie. We always felt like she was sent by Fiona. Incredibly shy and overweight at first, she lost her extra pounds and decided she loved attention from the people she knew well, but always kept that Sheltie reserve with strangers. She was happiest hanging out at home on a dog bed, or going on "walkabout" in the backyard. She was a good sport about accompanying us on hiking trips and even ran the Helping Paws 5k. Her "magic leash of confidence" helped her to come out of her crate when away from home. Daphne crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 17th, 2018 after living with late-stage kidney disease for nearly 16 months. Run free, Daphne, and may there be plenty of bunnies for you to chase.
