Penny was in rescue for a very short time before her foster family, who had been involved in dog rescue for many years, became her forever family. So frightened at first, Penny learned how to be a dog from the other dogs; she learned how to play and fetch small balls, and how to bark. She successfully completed beginning and intermediate obedience and passed her Canine Good Citizen test in 2010. Penny loved being snuggled and brushed by her human and canine family, and enjoyed herding the vacuum cleaner, blender, mixer and washing machine. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on December 30th, 2018, together again with her best friend Coco, and their big brother Jack.
