Maki was one of the early Shelties in our program, joining an experienced Sheltie home who could help her learn to trust and feel safe as a youngster. She was such a great little Sheltie that she became a permanent member of the family, mentoring many foster Shelties along the way. She loved running and barking in the large fenced yard with them. One special Sheltie, Darby, became her best friend and he also stayed permanently. Maki crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 27th, 2019, forever reunited with her best friend Darby.
