Welcome to our first official "Happy Tails" Update! From time to time, we'll be sharing some of the funny, heart-warming, and inspirational updates we receive from our wonderful adopters.
Here's an update from Bram's family (Adopted in August, 2009):
You don't know how thankful we are for Bram and how it feels like our family is complete now. When we wake up in the morning, Bram is staring at us with this big grin on his face as if to say, it's about time you're awake - I've been ready to play for hours. Then we all have a romp and good giggle before getting out of bed to face the feared trip outside. We've been trying to go at Bram's pace and not push him. He has been spooked by the furnace kicking in the past week but is slowly adjusting to that new rumble. He seems a bit mystified over where the sound comes from. I really think Bram is going through a puppy phase. He seems so much more playful and curious about his environment. He is mouthing things and testing with his mouth. A couple days ago he decided he didn't need to eat beside me in the living room anymore and now eats in the kitchen with Dodger. He was always afraid of the kitchen because it could be so noisy, but lately he is hanging out in the kitchen with us and not running for his safe place if I clank a pan. The biggest thing for me though is just to see that tail always wagging and that relaxed, open look on his face. We're at the stage where we're really enjoying him. He's such a good fit for us and for Dodger. He makes us laugh and we have to share him at night so we both have a chance to cuddle with him when we sit and relax.
