Medical Care - Midge

Hello! I’m the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but you may call me Midge. I spent the first 9 years of my life in a puppy mill, which didn’t allow me the opportunity to fully express my marvelousness. That all changed when Minnesota Sheltie Rescue took me in: I was given some much needed veterinary care by Vet Center on Main and Plymouth Heights Pet Hospital including spay surgery, mammary tumor removal, a dental with extractions, pain assessments, radiographs, joint taps and more totaling over $2900!.

Special Needs Long Term Care Shelties

Our “Special Needs, Long Term Care program” is for certain shelties with challenges due to age, health, behavior or the need for stability after rough times. These Shelties want to shout out a big "THANK YOU" to their very special foster homes who open their hearts while MNSR supports the cost of their care, for multiple years if all goes well. Currently in long term foster care are Baylor, Hannah Marie, Maggie, Sasha Marie, Shadow and Tess. Some special shelties from this group gained their angel wings this past year, including Jagger, Loki and Luna. #GTMD20

MNSR is an All Volunteer Rescue

We are a small, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) rescue, dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating Shelties to help them find their best and last home. Join us on Give to the Max Day on November 19th to read stories of Shelties impacted by your generosity, and help us in our mission to provide necessary care for Shelties in need to start a new life with a loving family. We are grateful for the support of our foster families, volunteers, donors, supporters, veterinary and community partners. #GTMD20
