The Story of Lady's Return to Safety

Many of you have already heard about the local hero that helped bring about Lady's safe return...but here are some links to the story first hand:

Link to Melissa's (Lady's foster/adoptive mom) blog: http://nodogaboutit.wordpress.com/2011/12/02/little-lady-lost-and-how-sh...

And Lady's safe return was even covered by WCCO!

LADY IS FOUND & SAFE!!!

Just a quick note to tell you all that Lady has been found and is safely back with her foster family!! More details to follow, but we wanted to get the word out to all of you that she is safe and will be sleeping in in a warm bed with her very grateful family tonight. At first appearance she seems to be in relatively good condition, just dirty and hungry (she's on her way to get checked out by our vet for the "all clear").

A huge and heartfelt thank you to the hours and hours our dedicated volunteers have put in to conducting the search, papering Eagan with flyers, manning the phones and following up on each and every siting at a moment's notice. Thank you to everyone who made Lady's safe return possible.

Hug your Shelties tonight everyone! We are so blessed to have this happy ending to our search.

Thank You to Our Generous Donors!

We would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all of you who so generously donated to Minnesota Sheltie Rescue on Give to the Max Day (11/16). This year we were able to raise a grand total of $14,625, which beats last year's $12,695! 137 individuals donated to support Shelties in need.

We are truly grateful to all of you who so generously support our mission to find the best and last homes for Shelties in need. We understand that times are tough for everyone right now and yet you have all stepped up to do what you can to help ensure that these dogs get the second chance they deserve. In these difficult times we are seeing an ever-increasing need as people are forced into situations that they did not expect to find themselves in and most certainly did not expect to have to part with a member of their family. Your generosity allows us to step up and help as many dogs as we possibly can and provide them with needed medical care and good food in their tummies - the love they receive is the only "free" part of what we do!

Thank you so much for your generous and ongoing support. We couldn't do it without you!
